My name is Richard Beckett and I look forward to serving the students and staff of the Waynesville School District.

I began my teaching career in Columbus, Ohio in 1996 and moved to Missouri in 2000 to accept a teaching position with Salem R80 schools. I have taught at both rural and urban schools and also enjoyed teaching internationally in Taiwan. It has been a privilege to serve  students of different ages in a variety of educational disciplines. I thoroughly enjoyed teaching 6th grade and middle school science for over 20 years. 

  My wife, Judy and I have been married for 37 years and are blessed with three children: Scott, Josiah, and Jedediah. I enjoy camping and overlanding. I have played hockey and more recently learned the sport of curling.
