Mrs. Susan Jorgensen

Hello, and Welcome to Kindergarten!

My name is Susan Jorgensen, and I am excited to be your child’s kindergarten teacher for the 2022-2023 school year. I want to welcome you to the East Elementary family. I am looking forward to this new school year! I have worked in the district as a paraprofessional (within Special Education) for many years.

I was born and raised in Wisconsin. I married my husband and moved to Fort Sill, OK for our first duty station. We have lived in 7 different states. We came to MO in 2019 and we currently call MO home. He recently just retired from active duty.

We have 4 children and 4 fur babies. They all (the children) currently attend schools within the Waynesville R-VI School District. 

I currently hold my BA in Early Childhood Education and have added my MA in Education with a focus on Curriculum and Instruction. I have always had a love for teaching since I was young and still do to this day. 

I am overjoyed at the opportunities that this new school year will provide for myself, you as a parent/guardian/family member, and your students. 

Parents/Guardians/Families are a LARGE part of children’s education. I encourage parents/guardians to participate in classroom activities, school-wide activities, and volunteering as a whole. They need you just as much as I do! Please do not hesitate to come into our classroom, you are always welcomed with open arms.
