Mrs. Karen Wilkerson
Greetings. My name is Karen Wilkerson and this is going to be my second year teaching and I am very excited about seeing and meeting all of my students. I have worked for the Waynesville R-VI School District since 2017. In 2009, I graduated with my Bachelor of Science Degree from Drury University. Currently, I am enrolled in Drury University's Graduate program for Special Education.
I am originally from a small town in New York. I have been married to my best friend for 24 years. My husband, Tom and I have lived in Missouri since 2003, when we were lucky enough to be stationed at Fort Leonard Wood. My husband retired from the military and we decided that we wanted to stay here. My husband and I have three children; Ashliegh, Emily, and Jackson. Our daughters are both graduates of Waynesville High School and our son is currently a junior. We have 3 granddaughters, Lilian and Evie, who live in Kansas, and Julia, who lives in Ohio.
Family is very important to me. We are huge animal lovers in my house. We currently have 3 dogs and 2 cats. We enjoy spending tme relaxing on our river property. In my free time I enjoy baking, crafts, and spending time with my grandbabies.
I want you to know that if you have any questions or concerns please contact me. Communication is crucial for a successful school year. I will be sending home emails periodically with updates on your child. I will also email our monthly calendar so you know what will be happening in our class.
