Miss Mars Pradia

Greetings! My name is Ms. Marquette "Mars" Pradia, and I am proud to be embarking on this new journey with you in Waynesville R-VISD. I will be teaching 7th grade English Language Arts on the Grey team this school year, and coaching Freshman Volleyball at WHS.

I moved to the area summer 2021 with my fiance' who is a soldier in the U.S. Army. I was born and raised in the multicultural hub of Houston, Texas where I also served as a 7th grade ELA teacher. I have traveled overseas to live and teach English, while also exploring my interests in Holistic medicine by shadowing in Oriental Medicine Hospitals. From my experiences overseas and teaching in my hometown, I have learned to approach the whole child with consideration of their unique individual needs.  With this approach, I will foster a safe space, implement differentiated activities and celebrate diversity in my classroom.

Whole-child instruction leads to students who are happy, healthy, safe, engaged, and challenged, ensuring they are empowered to chase and achieve their goals—be they in school, work, or life. (Nina W.) I have been recognized for having high student engagement, implementing critical thinking activities as well as improving students abilities to speak publicly; I will continue my practice this fall with appealing to your child's unique interests and working to grow them by at least 1 year academically. With your help, I am committed to collaborating and effectively communicating to ensure optimal success for our students this school year!
