WCC year-end drop-off and pick-up procedures
The following information is for Waynesville High School students who need to return and/or pick up items from the Waynesville Career Center:
When dropping off items, WHS parents or students should drive to the east side of the building (the side closest to WHS) and continue toward the covered walkway. Items, including JROTC uniforms, may be dropped off and picked up on the following dates based on the student's current grade level:
Seniors - May 21, 2020
Juniors - May 22, 2020
Sophomores - May 26, 2020
Freshmen - May 27, 2020
Students will turn in all materials the following times based on the first letter of their last name:
9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.: A-L
12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. : M-Z
Alternative Date: May 28
All WHS students may drop off and pick up items, regardless of last name, and may go at any time during the following:
Morning session: 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Evening session: 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Students from sending schools may drop off their items directly at Waynesville Career Center between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. May 11-15 or at their high schools during regular business hours. If a parent or student needs to make special arrangements, please call 573-842-2500.
Q & A for year end procedures

1. May I drop off all of my children’s items at each of their schools on one day?
Posted by:Yes, but please contact each of your children’s schools to let them know in advance that you will be dropping off items “off schedule” so that staff members may prepare your children’s items in advance of your arrival.

2. Will I drive up the same way I always do?
Posted by:In most cases, yes, however, we ask that you follow the signage at each building and adhere to the entrance and exit signs to allow for a smooth flow of traffic.

3. Should my child keep his/her computer for summer school?
Posted by:Yes. If your child plans to attend either the June and/or July session of summer school, your child should keep their computers so that they may use them during summer school.

4. What if I am unable to return items because of transportation or health issues?
Posted by:Please contact Community Resources Office at 573-842-2250 to make arrangements for the items to be picked up.

5. How will my child’s items be returned to me?
Posted by:All of your child’s personal items will be gathered and placed in a bag with your child’s name on it and given to you during this exchange.

6. Should I wear a mask?
Posted by:All participants will be asked to maintain social distancing during the exchange process. School personnel will be wearing masks and parents are asked to do so as well, if possible.

7. Will you still hold the drop-off/pick-up exchange if it is raining?
Posted by:Yes. Providing there is no threatening weather, we will continue the exchange.
