I’m Ms. Jackson and I am so excited to spend the 2019-2020 school year with your student. I began my educational journey a few more years ago than I like to admit, but this is my first year teaching at Waynesville Sixth Grade Center. I love all subjects, but my goal this year is to help your student fall in love with math while understanding how important math is in our everyday life.
When I’m not in the classroom, you can find me being as social as possible. I adore being outdoors with my family and friends, and I never say no to going hiking, a day at the river, or a jog around town. I have a passion for teaching and am in teacher mode 24/7 (even at home with my family). I have three boys and one girl that keep me busy. MaKenzie is a Junior in High School and enjoys soccer and talking on the phone. Nathaniel is a Sophomore in High School and enjoys skateboarding and History. Haylen is in 8th grade and loves all sports and animals. Liam is in 2nd grade and likes soccer and super heroes. We keep our schedules as busy as possible to stay active together, but we also love down time to play board games and talk about our goals. In my free time this year, I'm wedding planning and looking forward to being Mrs. Elliott by the beginning of the 2020-2021 school year.
I am very much looking forward to this academic year and getting to know your student. If you have any questions or concerns during this year, please do not hesitate to contact me. I am most easily reached via email and would love to get to know you, your family's needs, and any tips or advice you may have for your student's best learning environment.
