Hello!

My name is Carrie Walden. I was born and raised in a military family! I have lived in the Ft. Leonard Wood and Waynesville areas my whole life. I attended Pence Elementary, Williams Elementary, Freedom Elementary, WMDS, and WHS. After graduating from WHS, I attended Ozarks Technical Community College for a year and a half and afterwards attended Missouri S&T in Rolla for 3 years. I graduated with a B.S. in Applied Mathematics and I am certified to teach 9-12 mathematics. I am currently working on my Master's in Mathematics through Central Methodist University. 

I absolutely love math! I always encourage students to think how math will apply in their future careers and how our technology progresses each day. I will be teaching Algebra 2 and Geometry this year. I am looking forward to an amazing year with my students! 

I enjoy doing astrophotography, visual astronomy, video games, and other nerdy hobbies. I also love to share my astrophotography photos with students to learn more about space and math!
