Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Willow Derbidge

Welcome to Waynesville High School!  I am looking forward to the coming school year and teaching Ecology and Transitions II.  I am the mother of two fantastic children and worked full time while continuing my education.  I received my Associate Degree in General Studies from Glendale Community College in 2008. Following this I went to the University of California at Riverside (UCR) where I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology.  UCR is recognized for being the most diverse of the UC schools. While in attendance there, I worked with the disabilities center as a member of a Disability Advocacy speaking panel and had the opportunity to study abroad in Taipei, Taiwan.

Upon graduation, my family moved to Missouri. I became a certified teacher in 2015 and earned a Masters of Science degree in Special Education from Missouri State University in 2016. I can identify with many of our students as I have lived in several states and have spent time overseas.  I look forward to working with our diverse community here. Please feel free to contact me at any time if you have questions or concerns at or call me at 573-842-2400 ext. 3174. Go Tigers!
