Hello! I am the director of percussion for Waynesville High School. I also assist with the instrumental music program for grades 6 - 12 and teach high school music electives. Before coming to Waynesville, I spent four years teaching at the Cole County R - 1 School District in Russellville, Missouri, where I oversaw the entire instrumental music program, grades 6 - 12.
In 2014, I graduated from the University Of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, Missouri with a Bachelor Of Music Education (Instrumental) degree. It was there that I studied under former Percussive Arts Society Drum Set Committee Chair Dr. Michael Sekelsky. While a student in Warrensburg, I was fortunate enough to teach multiple drumlines, private lessons, and percussion ensembles throughout Missouri, working with as many as eight school districts concurrently.
I am a proud alumnus of both Freedom Indoor Percussion and Legacy Indoor Percussion. I am also an educational artist with Innovative Percussion, Inc., and am currently a member of both the Percussive Arts Society and its Missouri chapter.
