I am excited to share my passion for reading, writing, math, and science! Although I have worked for the school district for six years, this will be my third year teaching at Waynesville High School.  I am from Jacksonville, North Carolina.  I earned my Bachelors in Forensic Science from Chaminade University of Honolulu.  I received my Missouri Teaching Certificate in 2018.  I obtained my Masters and Specialist Degree in Administration in Elementary and Secondary education. I am currently pursuing my Doctorate in Administration through Lindenwood University.  I am married and have three children.

In my classroom you will find that decisions will be based on the best interests of each individual student.  Your student and I work together to utilize effective and innovative strategies for learning.  Then, we will incorporate them into relevant learning experiences that can be applied in real world scenarios. The ability to transform these ideas into real world situations will prepare your child for future success.

My interests are the interests of each and every student.  My purpose is to encourage, support, and challenge every child to help them achieve the best that they can be!  I believe it is of upmost importance to keep an honest and open communication line between the parents/guardians of every child.  Do not hesitate to let me know if you feel your or your child’s needs are not getting met so that we can work together towards a better solution.  Thank you for helping to create a warm and positive outlook on a great year, leading us to achieving a better future!
