Mrs. Jessica Fuller
My name is Jessica Fuller and I am looking forward to helping children get the literacy instruction they need to succeed in school and life. I am a reading resource teacher who will be working with students who need extra support in reading. Students are provided targeted instruction for 30 minutes, five days a week, in the five components of reading: phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency and comprehension. Students are served in small groups to assist in individualizing instruction and to enhance students’ ability for success.
My goal is to create a comfortable environment for students to become motivated and excited to read. I will work with teachers to supplement and extend your child's reading. Finally, I want your child to gain confidence in his/her reading ability and be able to enjoy reading.
I started working in the Waynesville School District in 2013. Waynesville has always been my home. Growing up I attended most of my elementary and secondary school career in the Waynesville R-VI School District. I graduated from Drury University in Saint Robert with my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and my master's degree in Special Reading.
When I am not at school, I love spending time with family and doing outdoor activities. I love working with children and have known since I was little that this was the career for me!
