Ms. Tiffany Ackerman

Hello, my name is Tiffany Ackerman!  I am the new 4th grade teacher at Wood Elementary, and very excited to get started with the 2016-2017 school year!

Here is a little about myself! I just moved to Waynesville from St. Louis this summer.  Growing up, I moved around because my father was Active Duty Air Force for over 25 years.  I was born in Lehighton, Pennsylvania and lived in Turkey, Washington D.C., Belgium, South Carolina, England, Illinois and Missouri.   Moving around so much, I am very close to my family. I have one younger sister named Tori.  I graduated high school from Mascoutah, Illinois and then went to college at Southeast Missouri State in Cape Girardeau.  In college, I was a Resident Assistant and was active in Habitat for Humanity.  In 2013, I graduated summa cum laude with my degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in science.  This is when I moved to St. Louis for my first job teaching 2nd grade at Gateway Science Academy South.  In addition to teaching and being a science nerd, I also love sports!  I coached both soccer and T-ball, and really enjoy both playing and watching sports.

Some of my Favorites:

Baseball: Philadelphia Phillies

Football: Pittsburgh Steelers

Hockey: Philidephia Flyers

Food: Seafood!!

Drink: Any kind of tea, both hot and cold!

Sport:  Baseball (I have coached T-Ball the last 3 years!)

Color: lime green, yellow

Subject: Science

Hobbies: Crafts (especially for my sister's wedding!), reading, games (board and card games)

I am really looking forward to my first year teaching 4th grade at Wood Elementary here at Fort Leonard Wood!
