B.A. Criminal Justice, Sociology, Psychology - Drury University Missouri Teaching Certificate - Missouri State University SEACT Program
Mrs. Jennifer Brown
This is my eighth year back teaching after spending the last few years as a Social Worker here in Pulaski County. I am currently an ESL Coach between Partridge and Thayer Elementary on Ft. Leonard Wood. This is my second year in this role as an educator and I enjoy working with and teaching ESL students. I enjoy this program as I am not only teaching students, but they are teaching me and I am able to gain knowlege and understaning of many cultures. Before social work, I spent two years as a Special Eduction Paraprofessional and four years as a Special Education Teacher in Waynesville. My undergraduate degree is in Criminal Justice, Sociology, and Psychology from Drury University. I obtained my Missouri Teaching Certifcate from Missouri State University through the SEACT Program in Mild/Moderate Cross-Categorical Special Education. I am currently in the process obtaining my Master's Degree in English as a Second Language through Mizzou. Teaching has been a passion of mine since I was a child and I am grateful to make relationships and give back to my community.
I've been in the Waynesville area my entire life. I love the long-lasting relationships that go along with your hometown. If you see me out and about, please stop and say hi!
My husband of 19 years, Mike, works as an IT Consultant and travels a lot. My son, Jayden, loves music and making beats for musicians. And my daughter, McKinna, is in 10th grade and plays basketball and volleyball. You can find me spending my time with them, goodwilling, or working in my yard most evenings and weekends.
