Welcome!
My name is Deirdre Huggins and I am so excited to be your Reading Specialist during W.I.N. (R.T.I.).
This is my seventh year as a Wood Tiger and I love teaching..... the 5 components of READING!
This will be my 4th year as Wood Elementary's Reading Specialist! AND I LOVE WHAT I DO!!!!
Alittle about myself...
I am married and have four beautiful children, ages 25, 24, 17 & 1. I have one additional family member, our family dog, Blue 2 yrs. old (goldendoodle).
We are retired from the military ( yes "we") and have made Missouri home.
I have an Associates in Early Childhood Education, BA in Interdiscliplinary Studies w/ minor in Criminal Justice, Post Bacc. in Elementary Education, and a Masters in Special Reading.
I look forward to this year as we embark on all the new adventures in Remedial Reading!
