Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Rachel Graves
Hello and welcome. I am happy to serve as the building nurse for the WCC. The Army brought my family to Fort Leonard Wood in 2018, from which my husband, Brian, has since retired, and we have now made this area our home. Brian and I are blessed with two children, Keegan and Eddie. We have enjoyed exploring much of what Missouri offers and meeting the wonderful people here.
I have been a nurse since 2011, when I received my AAS in Nursing, and have since completed my BSN. My experience in nursing is community focussed and has included school and residential nursing under the juvenile probation department. After moving to the area, I began as a substitute nurse and teacher for the district until landing at Freedom Elementary. This is my second year at the WCC, and I truly look forward to working with the Health Science program again.
I enjoy working in the school environment because I believe in supporting education. Albert Einstein said, "Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think." Empowering our students with the skills to think critically will help them adapt and overcome, no matter which path they take when they have finished their time in school. The best way to accomplish this is with healthy, well-nourished, and loved students. I believe as a team we can support our students in these ways and be successful together.
Please feel free to contact me via phone or email with any questions or concerns.
