Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education and Early Childhood Special Education
Mrs. Steward
Hello!
I'm Billie, and I have been teaching Early Childhood Special Education for 7 years now. I grew up in Laquey, graduating as a 13-year senior. I currently live in Richland, where I did my student teaching upon finishing college at Missouri State University in Springfield. I taught my first year at Stoutland, but moved to William's for Waynesville, and I've been here ever since! It's been a lot of fun, and I can't imagine teaching anything else. My younger brother was high needs, and he provided me with an extensive background in special education. He is the reason I chose this path, and I am thankful to have had him to teach me the necessary patience, compassion, and strength it takes to work with diverse students from all different walks of life.
My husband Wade and I celebrated 6 years of marriage in June, and our son Deaton will turn 3 in March. We have a cat, Lila, and a dog, Kady. Within the last couple of years, Wade has opened his own Auto & Diesel business. I enjoy making jewelry on the side, playing with makeup, organizing spaces, and flipping through fashion magazines. I LOVE to shop and try new products, go to the river and lay out in the sun, find fun antiques at random places, and decorate pretty much anything. Coffee is my bestie, and there's nothing I enjoy more than spending time with my friends and family laughing and having a good time. I like listening to music and breathing fresh air, hitting a backroad, and coming across a good deal!
