Phoning Parents When a Child Visits the Nurse

According to Waynesville School District policy EBBA-AP (1) Illness and Injury Response and Prevention, if an illness or injury is minor, the school nurse or designee MAY contact the parent or guardian to inform them of the situation.

To better serve our students, a phone call or email will be placed to a parent if there is a significant concern regarding illness or injury, or in the event of an emergency. Parent contact for all other services will be at the nurse’s discretion.
