Welcome to Fourth Grade at East Elementary!
I am updating this top piece of the webpage to help guide you to where the virtual learning tools are located. Please look along the left side of the screen. Towards the bottom there is a Virtual Learning link. Please click that to view the days' assignments. Several of the assignments can be completed through google classrooms. Assignments can be turned in on there. Save the math packets and any other completed tasks, not turned in through google, to turn in once we return. Thank you for your understanding during this on-line instruction. Somethings may show a bit of a challenge. I am trying to utilize the resources the class has seen and worked with many times. As always, please let me know if there is anything I can do to help clear things up.
My name is Mrs. Thornburg and I am excited to start this year! I have worked in the Waynesville District since the 2007/2008 school year. I started at Wood Elementary for the first eight years, and then moved to the Sixth Grade Center for three years. Before that, I taught two years in the St. Louis Public School District.
I am married and have two wonderful boys. I love spending time with my family. We keep busy outdoors; camping, hiking, swimming, riding bikes, and playing soccer. When we are indoors we enjoy playing board games, reading books, and building with Legos.
Teachers at East make the learning environment engaging and keep the students on track for becoming 21st Century Leaders. I am excited to be working with a strong team to help students learn processes that will help them in their daily lives. The school provides a L.E.A.D. program that encourages students to become strong leaders. Expectations are high for the learning environment. I look forward to the adventures we will take together throughout the year
