Students who attend two years of courses with our American Culinary Federation Accredited (ACF) program are eligible to take an exam given by the National Occupational Competency Testing Institute (NOCTI). The ACF uses the NOCTI test to award the Certified Fundamentals Cook.
No outside work experience is required for the certification.
Junior Culinarian Requirements
- Graduate from an ACF Secondary Certified program
- Pass a NOCTI written and practical exam.
- A passing score of 70% or higher is required on the written exam
- A score of 75% or higher is required on the practical exam.
