    The American Culinary Federation (ACF), established in 1929 is the premier professional chefs' organization in North America with more than 17,500 members in over 150 chapters nationwide.  The organization promotes the professional image of American chefs worldwide through education of culinarians at all levels.  ACF is the culinary leader in offering educational resources, training, apprenticeship, and programmatic accreditation designed to enhance professional growth for all current and future chefs and pastry chefs.  ACF operates the most comprehensive certification program for chefs in the United States.  The program first became accredited in 2016, and during our 2019 review the program earned an Exemplary program standard from the ACFEF accreditation board.
