Mrs. Rachel Graves

Hello and welcome. I am happy to serve as the building nurse for the WCC. 

I have been a nurse since 2011, when I received my AAS in Nursing, and have since completed my BSN. My experience in nursing is community focussed and has included school and residential nursing under the juvenile probation department. After moving to the area, I began as a substitute nurse and teacher for the district until landing at Freedom Elementary. This is my second year at the WCC, and I truly look forward to working with the Health Science program again.  

I enjoy working in the school environment because I believe in supporting education. Albert Einstein said, "Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think." Empowering our students with the skills to think critically will help them adapt and overcome, no matter which path they take when they have finished their time in school. The best way to accomplish this is with healthy, well-nourished, loved students. I believe as a team we can support our students in these ways and be successful together.
