Multicultural Night at Partridge
Multicultural Night was held at Partridge Elementary on March 26 with parents and staff presenting information and crafts from around the world in special classes. Partridge’s students – including 56 students who participate in the English as a Second Language program – and their parents come from a variety of countries around the world such as Germany, Iraq, Russia, Italy, Korea, Brazil, Puerto Rico and Kenya. Multicultural night provided an opportunity for volunteers to share their culture with students in grades two through five. Following the international classes, parents joined their students for a dinner with dishes prepared by parents that featured food from around the world. It was a great time to learn about and enjoy other cultures; however, for those less adventurous with their food choices, there was pizza.
