- An Independent student may borrow an additional $6,000.00 (if qualified)
- A Dependent student may borrow an additional $3,500.00 (if qualified)
- All loans must be repaid
PLUS Loan (Parent Loan for undergraduate Students)
- A parent may borrow for their child up to the cost of education minus all other financial aid
- Parent must agree to a credit check
- All loans must be repaid
STATE ASSISTANCE
This program provides scholarships funds to eligible graduates of A+ designated high schools who attend a participating public community college or vocational/technical school.
- Enroll and attend full-time at a participating public community college or vocational/technical school
- Be seeking a degree or certificate at the school
- Not be pursuing a degree or certificate in theology or divinity
- Make a good faith effort to secure all available federal financial aid by completing the FAFSA
- Maintain satisfactory academic progress as defined by the school
This is a need-based program designed to provide students with a simplified financial aid process, provide predictable, portable awards, and increase access to a student's school of choice. Need is determined by the student's Expected Family Contribution (EFC) as calculated through the Federal Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
- Be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident and a Missouri resident
- Be an undergraduate enrolled full-time at a participating Missouri school
- Have an EFC of 12,000 or less
- Not be pursuing a degree or certificate in theology or divinity
- Not have received your first bachelor's degree, completed the required hours for a bachelor's degree, or completed 150 semester credit hours.
- Have a FAFSA on file and make any corrections affecting your eligibility by the deadlines indicated below.
- Priority Deadline - February 1st
- Award Deadline - February 1st
- Final Deadline - April 1st
- Correction Deadline - July 31, 2022
Fast Track Workforce Incentive Grant
The Fast Track Workforce Incentive Grant is a new financial aid program for adults beginning with the 2019-20 academic year. The grant addresses workforce needs by helping adults pursue a certificate, degree, or industry-recognized credential in an area designated as high need. Grant recipients must maintain Missouri residency and work in Missouri for three years after graduation to prevent the grant from becoming a loan that must be repaid with interest.
Eligibility
- Individuals who are 25 years or older or individuals who have not been enrolled in any school within the last two years can participate.
- The grant will serve students who have not earned a bachelor's degree and are planning to enroll part time or full time.
- Individuals who make no more than $80,000 filing jointly, or no more than $40,000 per year, filing any other tax status.
