Are you considering getting your high school equivalency diploma?

Congratulations on taking the first step towards your educational goals! Here is some important information to help you understand our program goals and potential outcomes. Our classes are set-up for individual lessons. Teachers work with students in the area of most need.

Because every student has different needs, it is impossible to give a timeline of when you will finish the preparation program. The more time and effort you put into the program and what skills you have already obtained helps determine when you will be ready to take the HiSET test. To make significant gains toward getting a high school equivalency diploma, it is important to be in attendance each night that we have class. Classes for AEL are held on Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday beginning at 5:00 p.m. and ending at 8:00 p.m. Classes for ESL are held Monday and Wednesday from 5:00 p.m until 8:00 p.m.

There is no cost associated with our program. The AEL program is free to everyone.  When you are ready to take the HISET test, there is a cost associated with it. We do not administer the test to you; we only prepare you to take the test.

Do you already have your high school diploma or HiSet but want to score better on the ASVAB or college entrance exams, or job related testing? Our AEL program can assess your weak areas and help you focus on those specific skills and learn the concepts needed to score higher.

There are a few instances when classes are cancelled.  When Waynesville is out of school due to holiday or weather, AEL classes are also cancelled.

If you have further questions, do not hesitate to call (573)842-2546 or send us a message through Facebook.
