Penmac is an employee-owned company that was founded in Springfield, MO in 1988. Over the last 27 years, Penmac has grown to 31 offices in nine states, including an office in Lebanon. Penmac is a leader in staffing and benefits administration and they have a passion for public education. Under this new partnership, Penmac will handle all substitute recruiting, screening, hiring, training, payroll and benefits for the District.
Working for Penmac, Waynesville substitutes will be eligible to participate in Penmac’s Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). The goals of the ESOP are to provide substitutes with a meaningful stake in the company, with future economic security, and ultimately with an additional source of income. Also, Penmac provides a 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan which allows substitutes to save additional money for retirement through tax-deferred payroll deductions. Working for Penmac, our Missouri retired teachers may work additional hours per year and still draw their teaching retirement (we will keep you apprised if legislation changes this status).
