Dear Parent, 

I welcome you to our PACE preschool classroom! 

I am very excited to share in your child’s first experiences with school.  I hope to aid your child in making learning fun and full of exciting memories in my classroom.  Together I believe we can increase your child’s skills, build on their strengths and provide them with a love of learning for the future. 

My name is Angela Smith.  I am mother of three teenage children.  They occupy all of my spare time, but I love them soo much!  I live for anything artsy, creative and fun.  This will be my 20^th year working with preschool children and my 10^th year teaching for the Waynesville School District. I commute into this area because I am proud to be working within a successful preschool program and enjoy the military families and students.  

I seek to have open communication with you and encourage you to contact me whenever there is a question or concern.  I use the Remind 101 texting app for daily updates in the classroom, and will email or call as needed. We will have Virtual lessons, videos, Youtube and Google classroom connections throughout each theme.  We will provide as much technology support and encouragment we can to teach your child the early childhood standards toward Kindergarten.  It is our hope that we can stay hands on for as long as possbile!  You are welcome to set up parent teacher meetings with me through phone calls, notes or emails as questions arise during the school year.  My school phone number will be 573-842-2650. 

I have a wonderful paraprofessional, Mrs. Jones, who also looks forward to sharing this fun and exciting school year with you. She has been working with children for 35yrs. with various aged students and loves to continue to follow her passion to help young children.  She and I may refer to our classrom as the Smith & Jones Professional Learning Team for fun.
