Ms. Smith

Hello families! My name is Mollie. I am thrilled to teach 5th grade this year at East! I am blessed with a phenomenal co-teacher, Mr. Phinn. This will be our second year co-teaching 5th grade together! Our goal is to set high expectations for our students and create an exciting learning environment they will thrive in. Each student has something unique to bring to our classroom, and we will work to help each student realize their full potential. We are excited about building successful relationships with you all, so please let us know how we can help to best support your child’s learning needs.

Prior to teaching 5th grade, I was a substitute teacher at East for four years. One of the most rewarding aspects of subbing was the opportunity to build relationships with students and staff throughout the entire school. East has always felt like home, and the students and staff are like family. 

In my spare time I enjoy reading, hiking, and listening to music. I also love spending time with my girls, Chloe and Clare, both of whom attend school in the district.

East is an exciting place with a stellar staff, terrific teachers, and the most wonderful students. It's truly a privilege to be your child's 5th grade teacher, where it will be my priority to foster a love of learning!
