Tina Rowden, Coordinator of Grant Management
There have been a few changes in recent year, and I am excited to see what the 23-24 SY holds for the Community Resources Office (CRO) and Waynesville R-VI School District as we continue the work of forming meaningful partnerships with our community with the goal of connecting our students with our community. I am excited to be a part of this office and to help grow and develop these relationships even further. The CRO also oversees and manages a number of grants that help us to provide a multitude of services to our school and community. As the Coordinator of Grant Management, I wear many hats. I am the AmeriCorps Director and DoDEA Project Director. I also oversee all after-school programs and the POC for some of the virtual learning platforms.
The CRO office continues its work at managing grants. Specifically, The AmeriCorps National Service Grant that fund the Waynesville AmeriCorps Program. This program aids us in recruitment, coordination and placement of AmeriCorps members in service within our district. Members serve as K-8 tutors, support all K-8 after-school programs, and are the backbone of the district's Snack in a Pack Program. Their service aids students within our school district to help close learning gaps and fight food insecurities.
