Ms. Lisa Jones

Hi!  My name is Lisa Jones and I am excited for the 2022-2023 school year to begin.  This is my 17th year in education and my 9th year at Freedom Elementary.  I was born and raised in the Lebanon area and graduated from high school there. I attended Drury University and then University of Cincinnati, where I obtained my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education. I was the Director and Teacher at Tri-County Head Start in Richland before becoming a special needs para at Freedom Elementary in 2013.  I am beginning my fifth year as a K-5 Special Education Resource teacher. I love working with kids in small groups and establishing positive relationships with them.  A little more about me....I have an amazing fiance who was born and raised in this area and we share 4 furbabies; Chloe, Ginger, Sassy and Piney.  In my free time, I enjoy anything that gets me outdoors (especially kayaking and planting flowers), cooking, reading, painting, and spending time with my friends and family.  I also enjoy cheering the University of Central Missouri at Warrensburg as my nephew just started his freshman year there along with St. Louis Cardinals and MIZZOU teams.  I am looking forward to working with your child, as well as with you this year, as we learn to "Throw Kindness Like Confetti."
