In accordance with the state and federal regulations implementing the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), this is to inform you of our intent to destroy personally identifiable information related to individual special education services provided by the Waynesville R-VI School District.
The reason for destruction is that the information is no longer needed to provide educational services. The school is required to maintain such records for a minimum of three (3) years from the date the child no longer received special education and related services. We will be shredding special education records for graduates & drops of the 2015-16 school year.
Please be advised that the records may be needed for social security benefits or other purposes.

If you wish to maintain this information for your personal records, please contact the Waynesville R-VI School District, Special Services Department at (573) 842-2007; otherwise, the information will be destroyed after May 31, 2019.
Waynesville R-VI parents who would like to receive text messages for announcements such as school closings, bus delays, etc., will need to OPT IN for this service. To opt in, parents should do the following: Text “Y” to 67587

New students to the Waynesville R-VI School District may enroll online at
New students may pre-register for the 2017-18 school year by following the steps on the webpage.
All children from the same family should register under one login account.
This new online enrollment application saves time and paperwork, but it does not completely replace the need to go to the building to complete the registration process. After completing the online enrolling application, the student’s birth certificate (kindergarten and 1st grade), immunization record and previous school records, along with all other required documents/records for enrollment, as stated on the District Enrollment Information Brochure, will need to be taken to the school by the parent/guardian to complete the enrollment process. When you provide the needed documents to the school, make the school aware you have completed the enrollment application online.
If your student is currently enrolled in the district and will be returning in the fall, your child will automatically be enrolled for the next school year.
