Degrees and Certifications:
Ms. Amy Clark
I was born and raised in Buffalo, New York. I earned my Bachelors of Science Degree at St. Bonaventure University and my Masters Degree in Engineering at the University of Missouri at Rolla (Missouri S&T). I was commisioned as an Engineer Officer in 1990 and served on active duty for seven years; I then began my teaching career in 1997 while maintaining my military career in the National Guard and Army Reserves from which I am now retired. I have taught Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Algebra IA, Algebra II, College Algebra, Statistics and Geometry at the high school level for 23 years. I am an adjunct math professor for Columbia College and Drury University twice a week from 5:00 - 9:00p.m. I have 19 years experience teachng Introduction to Algebra, Intermediate Algebra, College Algebra and Finite Mathematics at the college level. I have two daughters, a graduate (Pre-Med) of St. Louis University currently working on her Masters in Bio-Med/Physiology and a Blackhawk pilot for the 82d Airborne Division stationed at Ft. Bragg, NC (Both alumni of WHS!!) I enjoy all my jobs, and look forward each year to educating the teenagers of the Waynesville/St. Robert and Ft. Leonard Wood Community either face to face or virtual. My experience with virtual learning and education last Spring was of utmost enjoyment. I loved seeing students' facial expressions and felt I could address more students individually who put forth the effort. Honestlly, my experience and personal persistence showed my students' grades either improved or remained consistent.
