DELAYED START (PLC)
Every Wednesday throughout the school year school, the regular school start time will be delayed 30 minutes for teacher professional development and team collaboration. On Wednesday school will begin at 9:00 am. Doors will open at 8:45 am and in the interest of safety, students should not arrive at school prior to 8:45 am. School dismissal will be at the regular scheduled time.
The delayed starts on Wednesday provide time for professional development opportunities for teachers, time to analyze and implement best practices in the classroom, and monitor student achievement. We appreciate all of our parent support for this professional development initiative that the Waynesville School District has implemented.
