Welcome to Mrs. Hodges's 6th grade class!  I'm teaching in a two man team for the 2011-2012 school year.  Mr. Harrison is my team partner.    I am responsible for the math and social studies curriculum.  While Mr. Harrison is responsible for the science and Language Arts curriculum.  We, both, will be integrating reading strategies throughout our content areas to emphasis reading skills.  We are, both, super excited about students learning!  

I enjoy teaching 6th graders!!  I feel that 6th grade is a transitional year for our youngsters.   I, and my partner, try very hard to get our students ready for Middle School, the following year.  This means that we try to instill structure, respecting each other, besides focusing on academics throughout the year.
