HOMEWORK: Reading for enjoyment should be done for at least 30 minutes every night. Homework assignment will be kept to a minimum. Students will be given ample time to get as much assignments done at school. If their assignments are not completed during the school day, then it is the responsibility of the child to finish it up at home. I expect homework to be neat, not sloppy. It should be completely finished by class time the following morning. When assignments are not done, your child will be writing it down in a management table called "Buddy"

"BUDDY" : It is my belief that positive interaction between teacher and parent strengthens the feeling of support that all children need for success in school. My goal is to create an atmosphere of open communication regarding your child's progress and behavior in both home and school. "Buddy" will be sent home at the end of the week for parents to review and sign. If an assignment was not completed during the week, then an entry will be made in the "Buddy" and sent home that same day for a signature. "Buddy" is to be returned on Monday or the first school day of the week.

FOLDER: Every Friday an envelope with our child's assignments and "Buddy" will be sent home. Please read comments made and be free to write back and initial. Return folder and "Buddy" on Monday or the first day back to school.

EXPECTATIONS: I expect each student to have a POSITIVE attitude about learning and a classroom that is RESPECTABLE of one another. I teach the children that they are in control of their bodies and minds. And the choices they make will affect them either in a good or bad way.
