The Waynesville AmeriCorps and AmeriCorps Volunteers In Service To America (VISTA) programs are celebrating AmeriCorps Week. Each year we recognize the commitment of our AmeriCorps Members by highlighting the extraordinary impact AmeriCorps makes across our nation everyday.
This year’s theme, AmeriCorps Works, communicates the value and effectiveness of AmeriCorps while providing flexibility to be used in many different contexts. It provides an overarching framework to communicate AmeriCorps triple bottom line return on investment -- for the recipients of service, the people who serve, and the larger community and nation If you are interesting in making a positive impact in our community by becoming an AmeriCorps Member, please contact the Community Resource Office at 573-433-2030.
